What is the purpose of The Ukrainian Philanthropic Network (UBM)?
The charitable organization "The Ukrainian Philanthropic Network" has been created in order to provide everyone who sincerely seeks it, regardless of his social role, income, time resources, the ability to make the lives of orphans with disabilities better.

Orphanhood is a heavy burden for the man itself. It’s a pity that Ukraine today can not meet the most orphans growth in a family environment. Children, of which the vast majority of parents are abandoned or deprived of parental rights, courts are held in the system of residential institutions. Denied boarding schools, first child, then a young man then and "indigenous" inhabitants of a great many values, without which most of us can not imagine their lives.
But it happens so when fate strikes a double blow and the orphan is both disabled and has a physical or mental disabilities (or physical and mental at the same time!). That's why The Ukrainian Philanthropic Network (organization) considers disabled orphans the most vulnerable social group.
It would seem, that the state has to create a really decent conditions
for life for disabled oprans. But the shocking truth is quite different. Most disabled orphans are in the orphanages, boarding schools (special social medical institutions that are not educational institutions and come under the control of the system of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, and the conditions of many of which had little changed for the better (or even become worse) since the collapse of the USSR.
Moreover, orphans with disabilities are not nearly adoptied at all (for example: in the UK there is the queue up for the children with Down syndrome), that’s whay most of them are doomed their whole life to exist in the system of the institutions of social protection.

No, The Ukrainian Philanthropic Network is a specialized charitable organization and works only in the interests of orphans with disabilities. We believe that focusing on this relatively small problematic area, we can be achieve more significant, effective, long-term positive changes.
